Shipping Questions
1). What is the shipping time?
We keep inventory of all stock items, so if you are ordering a behind-the-ear (BTE) aid, we normally have that shipped out within 24 hours of receipt of order. Custom aids are a two-step process. We send out the impression kit materials to a person immediately whenever they order a new custom hearing aid.

As to the in-transit shipping time, a customer can request next (business) day shipping service, or 2nd (business) day service. We also use the USPS mail system, and that normally ranges from two to four (maybe five) days in the mail, dependent upon location. If a person is in a rush to receive their hearing aids or supplies, overnight or 2nd day services are the way to go.

2). Do you ship overseas? I have a current audiogram, would it help if I posted that to you for an assessment of the best aid for me?
We certainly do ship overseas....we ship to Europe, Australia, most countries in South America, most countries in Asia, and a few in Africa. Shipping options for our international clients are either US Postal Service ($35 flat rate) or a faster, more reliable service through either DHL or UPS (rates vary by country). We handle each order manually so any special requests by the customer can be addressed. Please email us with your address if you would like a shipping quote for UPS or DHL. Also, please note that import fees are imposed by most countries. This fee varies by country and by the value of the shipment. As far as we know, Australia is one country that does not impose an import fee.

In terms of sending an audiogram for recommendation, that is the best thing you can do if you have one available. You can email it to info@lloydhearingaid.com, fax it to 1-815-964-8378, or mail a copy to:

If you cannot send a digital version via email, you can just copy the values down at each increment, and we can construct our own graph over here for programming needs (i.e. at 500Hz - 35dB, at 1000Hz - 40dB, at 2000Hz - 40dB, etc.). Another option is to take our free online hearing test. The results are used by us for recommendations and programming as well.


3). Can you ship internationally?
Yes, we certainly can and do ship internationally. Our preferred method of shipment is US Postal Service Global Express Mail for $35. This is a flat rate for 1-pound packages to any country worldwide* (special note for Canada below). We also can ship via DHL International, but that cost varies by location so a shipping address is required in order to provide an accurate rate quote. The DHL International option is available only upon request. Orders can still be placed over the internet with the standard USPS $35 option. We will just manually adjust the order when it comes in. All internet orders are manually entered, so you are not automatically charged when the order is placed online.

Please note that all packages from foreign countries are most likely subject to a customs inspection. Once packages clear customs, they are routed with a local courier service for delivery. Delivery times once a package leaves customs really depends upon the country, and can range anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. Please contact us if there is an exceptional delay in the delivery of your shipment, and we will initiate an investigation with DHL or the USPS.

*Only Canadian customers may take advantage of the US first class mail postage option (the "free" shipping method when ordering online or using code #333 over the phone). Delivery time is about a week to 10 days. Expedited shipping (2nd day & overnight) are not available to Canada. If you need expedited shipping, USPS Global Express is available for $35. Estimated delivery time is 3-5 days. Please call for other available options.

4). Can I order one of your products from any where in the world? Can I have my product shipped to anywhere in the world? What are my limitations?
Yes, you can order any of our products from anywhere in the world and for shipment to anywhere in the world. The only limitation is that payment is required in full prior to shipment, and all payments must be in US currency. We accept most major credit cards (preferred), international money orders, and Western Union (on a case by case basis only...this method is not preferred). We would also like to have a copy of an audiogram if possible, so that we can be sure (1) that the product ordered will be correct for that particular hearing loss, and (2) for programming when needed.

Our standard shipping fee for US Postal Service Global Express Mail is $35 to any country in the world. We also offer DHL International, which is a faster and more secure method. Shipping cost for this method varies by country. Please note that delivery times also vary by country, and can take anywhere from a week to two weeks. Some countries impose an import fee on packages coming in, and this is the responsibility of the receiver. We do not pay for customs taxes.

If you are from a Spanish-speaking country, please let us know if you will require a Spanish instruction booklet. Most manufacturers have a Spanish manual that can be sent with the hearing aid. 5). Do you ship to Australia?
Yes, we do ship to Australia. We ship to most nations all over the world. Shipping costs are a flat rate of $35 for US Postal Service Global Express. We can also use UPS or DHL International Express, but the rate varies by country and I would need a complete address to quote you a shipping cost. USPS is the most economical choice. To Australia, you do not have to pay any import duties. If you have any questions or need further assistance, we're available M-F 8am-4:30pm central standard time.
